The curious paradox is that when I can accept myself just as I am then I can change. - Carl Rogers
Therapy with me
-
FOCUS
We begin by exploring parts of life that you are interested in changing and what the end goal is.
-
REFLECT
Next, you’ll reflect on what may be blocking you, and learn how to overcome these obstacles.
-
Refine
The last step? We learn how to continually refine what we’ve learned. Think of this as your new beginning.
I am a born and raised Austinite. I attended the University of Texas for undergrad and received my graduate degree from Texas State University. I was intuitively drawn to being a therapist to support people find happiness and healing and have been in private practice for more than a decade. I believe in an honest and authentic relationship between me and my clients and open my door to people of all genders, colors, sexualities and relationship structures.
My therapy approach draws from theories such as Internal Family Systems, DBT, Attachment Theory and Interpersonal Neurobiology. I am Gottman trained (level I and II) for couples work and practice EMDR for trauma healing. I strongly believe in the powerful blend of art and science in therapy and believe in the neuruplasticity- the ability of the brain to change- as an outcome of healing.
ABOUT ME
SERVICES
individual THERAPY
In my work with individuals, we will collaboratively develop goals and markers for success. We will explore patterns and develop new habits. Through connection, humor, self-reflection, compassion, education, gentle challenge, fierce confidence, and empowerment we will work together to create the changes you are looking for. Issues that I enjoy supporting people with include (but are not limited to), depression, anxiety, relationships struggles, parenting, life transitions, and general self-reflection.
COUPLES therapy
99% of the couples that come into my office are struggling with communication—such an enormous umbrella to capture not feeling understood in the relationship that we are in. I love helping couples develop new strategies for connecting, conflicting, and communicating. The truth is there are two (or more) valid and important perspectives in every interaction and I love supporting the development of understanding and empathy for an other. Understanding is not the same as agreement! On average, couples wait 6 years after relationship dissatisfaction to explore couples therapy. There’s no time like the present!

I currently accept United (Optum/ Oscar) and Aetna. I am considered an out of network provider for other insurance plans and would be happy to help you file out of network claims for possible reimbursement.
Each insurance plan is different! I will do my best to get you accurate information about what you can expect your out-of-pocket costs to be and encourage you to call your insurance company and ask your about in-network mental health benefits.
